They're starving in the rubble. And nobody is coming.
Dogs and cats abandoned in Gaza have no shelter, no food, no one. A small team of volunteers reaches them every single day — with whatever your donations can buy.

A message from our team
We wrote this from Gaza.
Yesterday we found a dog under a collapsed staircase. He had been there for days. He didn't bark. He didn't move. He just watched us walk toward him, and when we put down the food he was too weak to reach it.
We fed him by hand. He ate for eleven minutes without stopping. Then he leaned his head against my knee and fell asleep.
That's the part nobody sees. They aren't angry at us. After everything, they still trust a human hand that offers something.
We don't have much. Some bags of food, some medicine, a van that works most days. We can only keep going as long as someone out there keeps helping.

Who we are
No offices. No sponsors. Just people who refuse to look away.
Gaza Animal Rescue is a small team of volunteers. Every morning we walk into streets most people have fled — carrying food, water, and whatever medicine we managed to buy.
We find them everywhere. Dogs too weak to lift their heads. Cats hiding in collapsed buildings with wounds turning septic. Mothers still nursing kittens in the dust, ribs showing through their skin.
Some have gone a week without food. Some have never known a human touch that wasn't cruel. All of them are still waiting for someone.
Families come to us too — people who can barely feed themselves, begging for help to keep their dog or cat alive. We have never turned one away.
Faces we reached in time
Every one of them was somebody's last chance.

One ordinary day
What happens between sunrise and dark.
05:40 — Before light
We load the van. Forty kilos of food, water containers, a box of medicine, bandages. We already know it isn't enough.
07:15 — First stop
Eleven dogs are waiting where we fed them yesterday. They recognise the sound of the engine. Three new ones joined overnight.
10:30 — A call
Someone found a cat with a crushed leg. We treat her on a piece of cardboard on the ground, because there is no clinic to take her to.
14:00 — Families
A woman brings her son's dog. She apologises for asking. She hasn't been able to feed him in four days. We give her a bag and tell her to come back next week.
17:20 — The hardest part
The food runs out. There are still animals watching from the end of the street. We drive away while they're still watching.
19:00 — Tomorrow
We count what's left in the account and decide what we can buy. That number is set by people like you.

Daily updates
We know we can't save them all. But we refuse to save none.
When you give, you're not just sending money. You're telling an animal lying in the dust that somebody, somewhere in the world, still cares whether it lives.
You will never meet the animal you saved. It will never know your name. Give anyway.

I watched the video of the dog being fed by hand and I couldn't stop crying. I don't have much but I had this.

Animals don't understand politics. They just know they're hungry. That's the whole reason for me.

My own dog died last year. I keep thinking about the ones there with nobody. Please don't stop what you're doing.

I showed my daughter the photos. She emptied her savings jar. So this is from both of us.

Sharing helps more than you think
Most people have no idea this is happening. One share puts it in front of someone who does — and that is how this keeps going.
